Wonderful World is a thriller series that centers on Eun Soo-hyun (Kim Nam-joo), a renowned psychology professor and writer who spirals into despair following the tragic loss of her son. Frustrated by the legal system’s failure to punish the culprit, she transforms into a relentless force of justice, seeking revenge on her terms.

The series is directed by Lee Seung-young, known for his work on Tracer (2022) and Voice 2 (2018). The script is written by Kim Ji-eun, the writer behind Lie After Lie (2020).

The show marks award-winning actress Kim Nam-joo’s return to drama after six years. Her last major role was in Misty (2018), where her remarkable performance earned her the Baeksang Award for Best Actress. Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo was last seen in the 2023 romantic comedy A Good Day to Be a Dog.

Wonderful World is the second primetime MBC drama to premiere in 2024. It aired every Friday and Saturday, occupying a time slot previously held by the popular series Knight Flower.
