Uncle Samsik is a historical drama set in the turbulent 1960s in Korea. It follows the lives of two men: Park Doo-chil (Song Kang-ho), a resourceful man nicknamed “Uncle Samsik” for his ability to provide for his family, and Kim San (Byun Yo-han), a brilliant military academy student with dreams of changing his nation. Their paths intertwine amidst a time of great change and uncertainty.
The 16-part Disney+ original Korean series is set to debut on May 15, 2024, with the first five episodes. Following that, two new episodes will be released weekly over the following four weeks. The final three episodes are estimated to drop on June 19.
