Blood Free is a suspense thriller that premiered on Disney+ on April 10, 2024. In a world transformed by lab-grown meat, genetic engineering enterprise BF CEO Yoon Ja-yoo (Han Hyo-joo) stands at the forefront of innovation. Yet, a shocking incident casts a shadow on her success. When a puzzling death occurs, Yoo finds herself entangled with Woo Chae-woon (Ju Ji-hoon), a retired military officer-turned-guard who deliberately approaches her and becomes her bodyguard.
The series is penned by Lee Soo-yeon, the award-winning writer behind the critically acclaimed drama Stranger (2017). Prior to this work, Han Hyo-joo and Ju Ji-hoon starred in Moving (2023) and Jirisan (2021), respectively.
