Strong Girl Nam-soon is a spinoff of the 2017 fantasy rom-com “Strong Girl Bong-soon.” It centers on Bong-soon’s second cousin Kang Nam-soon (Lee Yoo-mi), who possesses superhuman strength that has been passed down the maternal line in her family. Raised as an orphan in Mongolia, Nam-soon returns to Korea on a quest to find her parents, ultimately reuniting with her mother Hwang Geum-joo (Kim Jung-eun), a formidable figure in Gangnam’s high society, and her grandmother Gil Joong-gan (Kim Hae-sook), a revered neighborhood legend.
The trio becomes involved in hunting down illegal drug-related activities in Gangnam. Their combined superpower and tenacity unravel a web of drug crimes plaguing the area.
