“Queen of Tears” soared to a new record-high viewership Sunday night, becoming the first Korean drama to hit four million viewers in 2024.

The latest and 8th episode of the series achieved a nationwide rating of 16.143%, equivalent to 4.044 million viewers, solidifying its position as the most-watched drama in prime time so far this year.

Exceeding the four million mark in viewership is an elusive feat. Only three primetime dramas managed to do it in 2023, also three in 2022, and only two in 2021. With its latest achievement, “Queen of Tears” has recently joined the ranks of those series.
