Twinkling Watermelon is a fantasy coming-of-age series about Eun-gyeol (Ryeoun), a music-loving high schooler from 2023 who accidentally travels back in time to 1995 through a music store. There, he meets and forms an unlikely bond with his young father, Ha Yi-chan (Choi Hyun-wook). In an attempt to ensure his parents’ destined love story, Eun-gyeol joins a high school band led by his future dad. However, things get hilariously complicated when Yi-chan falls for a different girl, challenging the course of history. Can Eun-gyeol bring his parents together and find a way back to his own time, or will his meddling in the past create an irreversible rift in the future?
The series features a deaf character, with the protagonist being a child of deaf adult (CODA).
