The Matchmakers

The Matchmakers is a romantic comedy set in the Joseon era, where the young widow Jung Soon-deok (Cho Yi-hyun) leads a double life as a matchmaker. Despite losing her husband, she excels at pairing up eligible bachelors with suitable brides. On the other hand, Shim Jung-woo (Rowoon), the King’s disgruntled son-in-law, is known for his intelligence but carries the weight of a tragic past. Forced by circumstances, these unlikely partners unite to find spouses for important Joseon women facing aging concerns. Their contrasting outlooks on life collide, but their mission to play Cupid for others may just rekindle the sparks of love in their own hearts.
