The Kidnapping Day tells the story of Kim Myung-jun (Yoon Kye-sang), a well-meaning but clumsy man who reluctantly commits kidnapping to pay for his daughter’s medical bills. As Myung-jun finds himself in a crisis, he cunningly poses as Ro-hee’s father to extract ransom money from her wealthy parents. But when he arrives at their home, he discovers the parents dead. Terrified of being implicated in their murder, Myung-jun flees the scene. Meanwhile, Ro-hee, with her exceptional mind, begins to piece together her fragmented memories and doubts Myung-jun’s identity and true intentions.
