Lee Jae-wook as Hong Rang, a powerful merchant’s son who goes missing at the age of eight and returns after 12 years. A character shrouded in mystery, Hong Rang has lost the memories of his past.

Jo Bo-ah as Jae-yi, Hong Rang’s step-sister who desperately searches for him after his disappearance. She becomes emotionally entangled with him after his return, even as she suspects he might be an impostor.

Park Byung-eun as Shim Yeol-guk, the powerful father of Hong Rang and Jae-yi. He is the kind of man who makes calculated decisions to further his ambitions.

Jung Ga-ram as Mu-jin, Shim Yeol-guk’s adopted son who steps into the shoes of Hong Rang while he was missing. Mu-jin forms a love triangle with Jae-yi and Hong Rang, adding tension and complexity to the story.

Uhm Ji-won as Min Yeon-eui, Shim Yeol-guk’s wife who will do anything to find her missing son.

Kim Jae-wook as Prince Hanpyeong, the King’s only brother who is very passionate about art but has no interest in the affairs of the palace.

In April 2023, the respective agencies of Lee Jae-wook and Jo Bo-ah independently stated that the actors were reviewing to star in Tangeum. Netflix officially confirmed the main cast of the series, including Lee and Jo, on September 20, 2023.[TenAsia]

The drama is directed by Kim Hong-sun, who helmed the Netflix original series “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area,” and penned by Kim Jin-ah. Meanwhile, Acemaker Movieworks is in charge of production.
