In the highly anticipated second season of the Netflix original series D.P., returning protagonists Ahn Jun-ho (Jung Hae-in) and Han Ho-yeol (Koo Kyo-hwan), soldiers in the Deserter Pursuit unit, continue their mission to track down military deserters and bring them back. The first season of “D.P.”, which was released on August 27, 2021, became the first-ever streaming original series to have won Best Drama at the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards. It also became the first Best Drama winner of the first Blue Dragon Series Awards in 2022.

On the press conference of the series on July 18, 2023, Director Han Jun-hee described “D.P. 2” as a “sad story” that will show how each character changes after the big incident in season 1 and how they go through personally devastating times.[The Korea Times]
