July sees the return of Lee Jong-suk to the small screen three years after his last drama. Kim Se-jeong who we saw in Business Proposal earlier this year also returns with a Korean adaptation of a Japanese manga, and so does Kim Hee-sun (Tomorrow) with the latest Korean original series from Netflix. Season 2 of a 2020 JTBC drama is also scheduled to grace our screens.

Dear X Who Doesn’t Love Me (TVING)
Premiere Date: July 14, 2022
Starring: Han Ji-hyo and Doyoung
A college woman with low self-esteem gets her hand on a magical notebook that can make a guy fall in love with her for a month. With no prior dating experience, she uses its powers and becomes involved with many guys. This streaming original marks the first-ever drama role of NCT’s Doyoung.
Remarriage & Desires (Netflix)
Premiere Date: July 15, 2022
Starring: Kim Hee-sun, Lee Hyun-wook and Jung Yoo-jin
With the help of a matchmaking agency that caters to the ultrarich, a woman who has lost everything due to the sudden death of her husband carries out revenge against the person who ruined her life. This is Netflix’s fifth original Korean drama released this year or the 18th overall since “Love Alarm.”

Premiere Date: July 27, 2022
Starring: Ji Sung, Seo Ji-hye and Lee Soo-kyung
Twin brothers race against time to solve a murder case that happened 22 years ago and save their father, who was accused of the crime, from the death penalty. This drama comes from the director of “Kairos.”
Big Mouth (MBC)
Premiere Date: July 29, 2022
Starring: Lee Jong-suk, Im Yoon-ah and Kim Joo-hun
A lawyer nicknamed Big Mouth for his talkative personality finds himself in a life-threatening situation when he takes on a murder case and gets mistaken for a genius conman known as Big Mouse. This series marks the return of Lee Jong-suk to the small screen after three years since “Romance is a Bonus Book.”
Today’s Webtoon (SBS)

Starring: Kim Se-jeong, Daniel Choi and Nam Yoon-su
An ex-judo athlete finds a new job at a webtoon company’s editorial department and strives to give her best in the competitive industry. This is based on the Japanese manga series “Juhan Shuttai!” that was previously adapted for TV in Japan as “Sleepeeer Hit!” Kim Se-jeong starred earlier this year in “Business Proposal,” one of the highest rated and most buzzworthy Korean dramas in 2022.
The Good Detective 2 (JTBC)
Premiere Date: July 30, 2022
Starring: Son Hyun-Joo and Jang Seung-jo
Violent crimes detectives in Incheon continue their all-out effort to uncover the truth and catch the bad guys in town. Son and Jang have reprised their roles in season 1 (2020). The pre-produced drama wrapped up filming in May 2022.
