Ju Ji-hoon, Choo Young-woo, and three more have been cast in the upcoming Netflix original series “Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour,” as confirmed by Netflix.
Based on a popular web novel written by a real-life doctor, “Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour” is a medical drama about a brilliant trauma surgeon who takes charge of a struggling trauma team at a university hospital. The team faces the challenge of accumulating losses as they strive to save patients, ultimately transforming the department into a fully functioning life-saving severe trauma center.
The web novel gained immense popularity and was serialized as a webtoon on Naver, receiving much love from its audience.
In the series, Ju Ji-hoon (“Jirisan”) will take on the role of Baek Kang-hyuk, a self-assured and uncompromising genius doctor who fearlessly challenges the realities of the medical field.
Choo Young-woo (“Oasis“) has been cast as Yang Jae-won, a junior fellow who becomes Baek Kang-hyuk’s first mentee and embarks on a demanding journey in the field of trauma surgery.
Yoon Kyung-ho (“Cleaning Up“) will portray Han Yoo-rim, a colorectal surgery professor who feels a sense of rivalry towards Baek Kang-hyuk after his apprentice, Yang Jae-won, is taken under Kang-hyuk’s wing.
Ha Young (“The Good Detective 2“) joins the cast as Cheon Jang-mi, a responsible and dedicated nurse in the severe trauma team.
Lastly, Jung Jae-kwang will play the role of Park Kyung-won, a resident specializing in anesthesia who faces challenging surgeries and exams on his path to becoming a specialist.
“Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour” is directed by Lee Do-yoon and written by Choi Tae-kang (“Adamas“). It will be released exclusively on Netflix.
