The second season of Arthdal Chronicles, titled “The Sword of Aramun,” premiered Saturday night with an average rating of 4.969% that translates to 1.212 million viewers nationwide, official data from Nielsen Korea show.

This rating makes “The Sword of Aramun” the fifth-highest rated cable drama premiere so far in 2023. Among tvN dramas, it ranks second, next only to “Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938” which recorded 6.463%.

Meanwhile, when compared to other primetime dramas on Saturday, “The Sword of Aramun” ranks third overall in terms of viewers. JTBC’s “Behind Your Touch” pulled in 1.556 million viewers with a rating of 6.639% while SBS’s “The First Responders 2” recorded 1.865 million viewers and a 9.3% rating for its finale.
