Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin are taking their relationship to a whole new level after announcing on February 10 their lifetime commitment to each other through marriage.
The two Korean actors are one best example of a reel-to-real couple. They starred together in the hit 2020-2021 series “Crash Landing on You” and surprised their fans when their agencies confirmed on January 2021 that they are in a relationship.
Son Ye-jin took to Instagram to deliver the good news to her fans, saying she has found someone to spend the rest of her life with.
“I thought long and hard about how to share this story because it’s an important one. I found someone to spend the rest of my life with. Yes… it’s him,” Son wrote.
“It happened so naturally. But, isn’t that destiny? Just being with him, I feel warm and protected. Please help us celebrate the beginning of our future,” she added.
The actress also thanked her fans, saying that she is “infinitely grateful” and wishing them happiness.
Hyun Bin, through his agency VAST Entertainment, also released a statement on the same social network to let his fans know first about the “most important decision of my life.”
The marriage will take place in March in Seoul. Due to the pandemic, it will be held privately where only a few invited guests can attend.
Son Ye-jin has a new drama, called “Thirty Nine,” scheduled to premiere on February 16, 2022 on JTBC. The series follows the lives of three 39-years-old women and also stars Jeon Mi-do and Kim Ji-hyun.
Before Son’s role in “Crash Landing on You”, the Baeksang award-winning actress appeared in nine series since 2001. Her works include “Something in the Rain” (2018) and “Personal Taste” (2010) where she starred opposite Jung Hae-in and Lee Min-ho, respectively.
Meanwhile, Hyun Bin had headlined a total of 10 dramas before he took on the role in “Crash Landing on You,” including “My Name is Kim Sam-soon” (2005) and Secret Garden (2010-2011). His second most recent drama was “Memories of the Alhambra,” a 2018-2019 sci-fi thriller featuring Park Shin-hye as the main actress.
Interestingly, Park Shin-hye just tied the knot with actor Choi Tae-joon on January 22, 2022, making Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin the second Kdrama stars to marry each other this year.
