tvN’s fantasy drama “Arthdal Chronicles” is set to return with a new season in the second half of 2023, four years after the conclusion of its first season.

However, a tvN official stated that while the second season’s broadcast is planned for the latter half of this year, there have been no definitive decisions made concerning its premiere date.

The first season of “Arthdal Chronicles,” a drama about the mythical tales of heroes scripting their own legends in the ancient land of ‘Arth,’ aired its final episode in September 2019. It starred Song Joong-ki and Kim Ji-won in leading roles.

In the highly anticipated second season, the story picks up roughly eight years after Tagon, played by Jang Dong-gun, ascends to the throne. Jang Dong-gun (“Suits”) and Kim Ok-bin (“Love to Hate You”) have reprised their roles in season 1 while Lee Joon-gi (“Again My Life”) and Shin Se-kyung (“Run On’) have joined the series as new cast members.

Fans eagerly await the return of “Arthdal Chronicles” as it promises a fresh dynamic for its continued narrative. Further details regarding the broadcast schedule and storyline are expected to be released by tvN in due course.
